Shirley Valentine, the film was commissioned by Paramount Pictures and produced and directed by Lewis Gilbert. It opened the Montreal Film Festival on 24 August 1989. The film was then released across North America on 30 August and in the UK on 27 October 1989.


Dancin’ thru the Dark

Dancin’ thru’ The Dark was produced by Annie Russell and Andree Molyneux for the BBC and Foremost Films. The film was released in 1990. The film is an adaptation of Willy Russell’s play Stags and Hens. Willy wrote the screenplay and composed the score and appeared in a cameo role.
